The sound of explosion heard in Iran’s central city of Isfahan on Friday morning was caused by the shots the air defense systems fired at a suspicious object, Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi said.
Speaking to Defa Press on Friday, the Army commander attributed the sound of explosion in Isfahan to the shots the air defense systems have fired at a suspicious object.
The commander noted that the operation has not resulted in any incident or damages.
Hailing the air defense units’ “vigilance” in targeting a number of aerial objects, the senior general said the Army experts are investigating various aspects of the issue and will inform the public after coming to a conclusion.
In recent days, the Zionist regime has ratcheted up the rhetoric of military action against Iran after Tehran carried out a retaliatory operation against the Israeli military targets inside the occupied territories in response to a fatal airstrike that Israel launched on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus on April 1.
